Fall distance

Distance traveled by a body within the fall time \( t \). In this distance-time law, it is assumed that the body starts to fall at the height \(y = 0 \) at the time \(t = 0\), that is \(y(0) = 0\).

Fall time

Time during which the body fell, covering the distance \(y(t)\).

Gravitational acceleration

Gravitational acceleration is the acceleration near the surface of the earth. It has the value of \(9.8 \, \frac{\mathrm m}{\mathrm{s}^2} \). On other planets (e.g. on Jupiter) this value is different.
