A photon with wavelength \(\lambda\) and momentum \(\boldsymbol{p}\) is scattered by a resting electron. After the scattering process, the wavelength of the photon has changed to the value \(\lambda'\). The momentum of the photon has also changed to \(\boldsymbol{p}'\). The electron has gained momentum \(\boldsymbol{P}'\) due to the scattering.

The angle between the two photon momentum vectors is \(\theta\).
