A spherical capacitor consists of an electrically charged inner sphere with radius \( R_1\), which is enclosed by another hollow oppositely charged outer sphere with radius \( R_2 \). Between the two spheres is a dielectric (e.g. vacuum, air, water, etc.) characterized by the relative permittivity \( \varepsilon_{\text r} \).
